These Terms govern the use of the iOS application BankingDesk, provided by D. Stengel-Dori, Ostendstr. 88, 60314 Frankfurt am Main, Germany. By using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the app.
2. Description of Service
BankingDesk is a learning and knowledge platform for banking and finance law. It offers structured modules, tests in various formats, Tell Me (AI-powered clause analysis), and the Teacher (AI mentor for banking law questions). The app is free.
3. No Legal Advice
Content in the app is for educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice and does not create an attorney-client relationship. AI-generated suggestions may contain errors. You are solely responsible for verifying information and seeking qualified legal counsel for specific matters.
4. Registration
Use of the app requires a username. You are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use BankingDesk for illegal purposes, to transmit harmful content, to reverse-engineer the app, or to violate applicable law.
6. AI-Generated Output Disclaimer
BankingDesk uses Claude API for Tell Me analysis and Teacher responses. AI-generated text is a suggestion. You retain full responsibility for reviewing, approving, and using any output. The app is a tool, not a substitute for professional legal judgment.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
BankingDesk is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Use at your own risk.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of BankingDesk, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by German law. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
